Seartec provided comprehensive structural integrity assessments for reinforced concrete External Work Platforms (EWPs) during the transportation and storage phases. The scope also included detailed ground bearing pressure analyses for the temporary storage and handling of offshore wind turbine (OWT) secondary steel components.
This geotechnical and structural engineering support took place within the marshalling yard at Thyborøn Port, Denmark, and was critical to verify the structural adequacy of the assets. It also confirmed that quay bearing capacities were sufficient to safely support the applied loads. The work ensured operational safety and compliance with offshore wind logistics and handling standards during the temporary port logistics phase.
